What is TeachersSchoolSupply.com's (TSS) policy on privacy?

Your privacy is a sensitive subject and we take it very seriously. So our privacy policy is simple, TSS will never sell, lease, or rent your email address without your permission. Furthermore, we will never share your credit card number with third parties. (Note, should a situation arise where we are required by law or legal process to provide information about a customer, Teachers' School Supply will cooperate.) As TSS has partners that assist us with fulfillment and shipping in certain categories, these fulfillment partners receive only a name and shipping address, so they can process and ship orders properly. TSS uses your email address to identify your personal information. You may request that we do not share your personal information for each email address you use at TeachersSchoolSupply.com. In general, TSS does not request sensitive information such as a social security number, a Personal Identification Number (PIN) from a bank or credit card (with the exception of the shopping cart checkout which is a secure transaction with our Credit Card processor), or a driver's license number.

How does TSS collect and use personal information?

The only personal information collected by TSS through our web site is information that is submitted to us voluntarily and knowingly by site visitors. When you simply browse our site, no personal information is being collected by Teachers' School Supply.

When Ordering:

TeachersSchoolSupply.com's checkout process collects the relevant information to complete and fulfill your order, including billing, shipping, and contact information. You are also given a chance to join the Teachers' School Supply Email list at the end of Checkout. By registering for the my account feature, your purchase information will be stored for your next TSS purchase.

The specific information we collect at Checkout is as follows:

Your name, the billing address of the credit card (for security purposes), your credit card number and expiration date, a shipping address (if different from billing address. Your email and daytime phone number so we can contact you with any questions concerning your order. Orders placed via the WEB are secure transactions and are processed through our Credit card Processor, Verisign. We do not see, or have a copy of your complete credit card number.

My Account:

If you register on the site via My Account, we ask that you provide your contact information, including name, shipping address and email address. Additional information from the order checkout process is also available through My Account: An Address Book for multiple shipping addresses, your Billing Address Phone Number, and an option to remove a stored credit card from our secure server. Users are required to establish a password for the My Account section of our site, to limit access to your personal information, and to allow you to modify this information. My Account provides you an opportunity to review your past Order History, and to re-order items that are still available.

Surveys & Contests:

From time-to-time our site requests information from users via surveys or promotions, such as sweepstakes and contests. Participation in these surveys or promotions is completely voluntary and the user therefore has a choice whether or not to disclose this information. Information requested may include contact information (such as name and shipping address), and demographic information (such as zip code, product preferences). Contact information will be used to conduct prize drawings, notify the winners and award prizes. Survey information will be used for purposes of monitoring or improving the use and satisfaction of this site.

Receiving Email

TSS email newsletters and postcards are designed to keep you informed of TSS news, features and/or special offers. In every such email message, we will also have instructions on how to unsubscribe so that you will not receive any such messages from TeachersSupply.com in the future if you do not wish to. You may also edit your Email preferences at My Account, under the Personal Information menu. Or simply email us at privacy@teacherssupply.com, and request to unsubscribe from our Email list.

Receiving TSS Catalogs and Flyers:

Our catalogs are updated throughout the year to reflect the best in seasonal products. We send these mailings to our registered users and customers based on the products you have shown a preference to. New users can sign up to receive the TSS, and Sales Flyer. If you would like to ensure you receive the newest TSS Catalog, we invite you to fill out our catalog request form. We will collect your name and contact information. If you prefer not to be included on the TSS Catalog list, please email us at privacy@teacherssupply.com, provide us your name, mailing address, and email address, and tell us not to mail you the Teachers' School Supply Catalog. Note, TSS uses your email address to identify your personal information. You may request that we do not send you a catalog for each email address, and the related mailing address, you use at TSS.

Customer Service Inquiries

TSS uses return email addresses to answer the emails sent to our Customer Service department. When going through the contact us map on our "Contact Us" page, you are connected directly with a product specialist for your region.

Updating Your Information

There are two different ways to modify personal information that you have given to TSS: Via your My account From the checkout area when you modify your account. Users are able to access and update their personal information, billing information, shipping information/address book. Your My Account password is required to gain access to any section of our site that contains personally identifiable information.

Does TSS use "Cookies" on the site?

Yes. Cookies store information that TSS uses to improve your shopping experience by saving your shopping cart information in case your order has a problem going through. No personnal information of any kind is kept in the Cookies. Only TSS can make use of the cookies created by TSS.
