Portable dry erase boards and portable chalkboards also known as free-standing or stand alone dry erase boards, reversible dry erase boards and mobile dry erase boards.

Teachers’ School Supply offers a wide variety of free-standing or portable whiteboards. We offer two frame styles on our reversible portable board units. There is the handsome solid oak wood frame and the heavy duty aluminum framed portable units.

Each unit has a number of whiteboard and chalkboard options available. There are chalkboards, whiteboards, corkboards or combinations of any two available. We also offer dry erase whiteboards with permanently imprinted music staffs.

All of our portable whiteboards have a double locking mechanism to keep the whiteboards from reversing or flipping until you need them to flip. Each portable dry erase whiteboard comes with a full set of four casters, 2 locking and 2 free-wheeling and many free standing whiteboard comes with a full set of markers and an eraser.  The heavy duty casters keep the board right where you want it when writing.  Don’t worry.  No wobbles!

Do you want framed or unframed?
Although our Dry erase white boards are not intended to be hung without a frame, you may order them unframed to replace worn out or damaged boards in existing frames. Call us at 800 477 7745 for assistance with replacing a worn out or damaged white board.

Framed boards are available in beautiful solid American oak or durable aluminum.  Generally, oak frames are a bit more expensive, but add warmth to any classroom. They come with everything you need to hang them on any type wall.

Caring For Dry Erase Boards:
Proper care of your whiteboard is essential for long life.

Magnetic boards need little special maintenance. Melamine boards, on the other hand, require a little more work. They should be carefully cleaned using approved solutions, and marker ink should not be left on the writing surface for long periods. Dirty erasers should be replaced.

The wrong kind of marker or pen and abrasive cleaning materials can damage even the most expensive dry erase white board surface.  Whether you choose melamine or porcelain in steel, we strongly suggest you use only approved dry erase board pens and accessories.  Do not use permanent markers, highlighters or other types of felt tip markers.  Do not use ball point pens.

Porcelain on steel dry erase boards will keep their pristine, white look for 50 years if properly cared for.  But Melamine dry erase boards can “blue” or "ghost" over time. Bluing or Ghosting is the marker image left on the dry erase surface after you clean it. That’s why a porcelain on steel board, though more expensive in the beginning, is an investment that will actually save you money over time.
